In 995, Grace Halloran, Ph.D. collaborated with August Reader, M.D., a neuro-ophthalmologist in doing a study of these techniques. Over 90% of the patients in this study, presented in 1997, had documented improvement in their vision. These were all patients that others had given up on. This data was also published in the Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, and a reprint of this article is available upon request. The therapies are safe, easy to learn and do, affordable, and effective. Damon P. Miller II, M.D., N.D.
Dr. Miller uses therapies that bring results. He began his study of alternative healing techniques when he was only seventeen. He continued to pursue these interests while an undergraduate at Yale University. After graduating from medical school at the University of Cincinnati, he began his postgraduate studies in Internal Medicine. With postgraduate work at UCLA and UC Irvine, he went on to become Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology. In 1995, after years in a hospital based practice, he returned to primary care, using recent scientific advances in metabolic medicine, orthomolecular medicine and the various treatment techniques using electrical and microcurrent stimulation. Encouraged by the surprising improvements he saw in people with eye diseases his medical training had taught him to be hopeless and untreatable, he has been devoting more and more of his practice to the treatment of eye disorders.
Grace has been called the "pioneer" in the alternative eye health care field by many leading health care professionals. Diagnosed with Macular Degeneration and Retinitis Pigmentosa in the early 1970's, Grace began a search for help in eye conditions that her doctors told her were untreatable and incurable. Grace had a powerful motivation to find an answer when she was told that these diseases run in families, and her infant son would be totally blind before he was a teenager. Her program was successful, and her son, now in his thirties has been over eleven years in the Air Force, and still has keen vision! Grace's book, Amazing Grace - Autobiography of a Survivor, was selected by the Easter Seal Society and the American Library Association as one of the best inspirational books in print in 2002.
